At 10:00 on Sunday, August 7, we will gather in God’s backyard for worship. Please arrive with your lawn chair. If it rains, we will move indoors. Early on in the pandemic, we met outdoors, and since we will not be on facebook live this week, it is a great opportunity to gather out back once again.
We will be in the fresh air and pray together as we watch the rabbits at play and maybe stick around afterwards to chat. Yes, the Church Has Left the Building for this Sunday. Come & See.

NEW BEGINNINGS
Rev. Dr. Lillian Daniel-Welcome to the Michigan Conference UCC
One hundred and forty-six churches, six Conference Associations, along with members of Staff and the Board of Directors of the Michigan Conference UCC are excited to welcome Rev. Dr. Lillian Daniel as our new Conference Minister. Our hope is that as she travels about the State of Michigan visiting and attending meetings; the uniqueness and diversity of each church will become apparent of all that we represent. I’m sure there will be many “Lillian Sightings” to report as Rev. Daniel familiarizes herself with her new surroundings, our churches and the people within them. With new beginnings there will be relationship building which entails sharing new visions as well as keeping and blending some of our past visions. There is excitement and anticipation as we transition into another season in the life of our beloved Conference.
We look forward to the installation of Rev. Dr. Lillian Daniel as our sixth Conference Minister at our Annual Gathering. This will be a historical installation as Rev. Daniel will be the first female to be installed in this position. Please make sure you register for this event which will be held via zoom on October 22, 2022 with the theme titled “Facing Change with Courage” so that you can witness this special event.
Rev. Daniel, may God grant you peace and joy, allowing you to grow in knowledge and faith with this new path in your journey with Christ.
Yours in Christ,
Judith Booker
